Coach Training Education: I am a graduate of an ICF-accredited school, Academy of Coach Training, now InviteChange. I have additional training from Coach U, Coaches Training Institute, and JST Coaching and Training’s ADHD coaching training. And I consider myself a grad Crossroads Coaching because I wrote the curriculum!
Other Education: I have an BA in psychology from Berea College, a Masters in Library Science from the University of Kentucky. Additionally I have some medical training, and training in massage therapy, energy and consciousness as well as clinical hypnotherapy.
Bio / Description of Coaching Practice: I began professional life coaching in 1997. My coaching specialty since 1999 has been addiction recovery. I work with clients who want to figure out how to recover from overdrinking or over drugging. I support client goals of harm reduction and moderation as well as abstinence. I love working with those in long-term recovery 12-step recovery (I have 30+years) who feel stuck and want another psychic change and haven't been able to get it by reworking the twelve steps. My other coaching skills, not necessarily related to addiction, include small business startup and management, and money issues. I work primarily with adults, both women and men, and occasionally with youth, 16 and older. Please note that I also work with clients in relapse, and clients who have co-occurring disorders.
